Book Review: Looking for Alaska

I felt like I needed to get back into reading and after my partner gave me the book looking for Alaska I couldn't put it down. It brings a real sense of reality and expectations that many teenagers and young adults may expect when going off to a boarding school or university.

Without giving away any spoilers the plot line is extremely captivating, with each character having an intriguing story to their name and throughout there is at least one individual that anyone would be able to connect with and relate to. The story touches on many thoughts that a lot of teenagers and most probably everyone comes across now and again.

The plot line has you waiting for something to happen in a good way, it keeps you on the edge of your seat. It also describes the characters in way that allows your mind to visualise them but also to allow yourself to expand on their appearances and characteristics which is what every book needs to be able to do.

Overall I believe anyone could enjoy this book, its plot has something everyone will be able to enjoy, I know I did.

Rating: *****

Over and Out,
